This painting by Alan M. Clark inspired the short story "Fluid Mosaic." Originally appeared in a book of tales and art based on Clark's fantastic paintings, called Imagination Fully Dilated Vol. II (IFD Publishing, 2000). Reprinted in Arnzen's 2001 story collection, Fluid Mosaic.
