My kindle rating is 9.8 of 10. Maybe buzz will wear off. But it is great at doing just what I need, just like an iPod, and I’m happy!
More Kindle weaknesses: could use audio annotations (since key typing on this is thumb-stumbley). Menuing is not always intuitive.
@BlackDogNate Ain’t perfect. The page turn delay is faster than me saying ‘a thousand one’ tho, so to cavemen like me that’s half-a-second.
Kindle fun so far: listened to mp3s, read a poem via text-to-speech, annotated an essay, read a story, subscribed to local paper. IT ROCKS!

Maybe the Nook isn’t TOO bad - I’m just bitter because I ordered my new Kindle2 yesterday. I will make my ebooks avail on both, no worries.
The B&N Nook also has a ‘lend to a friend’ feature that raises my eyebrow.
